It took place with the broad participation of children, teenagers and adults from the center’s various educational programs, according to the news site Muslimsaroundtheworld.

The event was held in an atmosphere of faith and aimed at connecting generations of Muslims in Europe with the Quran through memorization, recitation and understanding of the Holy Book.

The competition witnessed the participation of a large number of members of the educational programs of the Islamic Center of Vienna, including children, teenagers and adults, which indicates the widening interest in Quran education in the local Muslim community.

The annual Quran competition of the Islamic Center of Vienna was accompanied by an atmosphere of commitment and enthusiasm, where a number of imams, scholars and teachers listened to the recitations and evaluated the performances of the participants.

At the end of the competition, all participants were awarded certificates of appreciation in recognition of their efforts, and the first three winners received cash prizes.

On the sidelines of the contest, a member of the center’s Education and Culture Department completed his complete recitation of the Quran in front of Sheikh Muhammad Qalib, a prominent Quranic scholar, and officially succeeded in receiving a Quranic permission.

The annual Quranic competition of the Islamic Center of Vienna demonstrates the center’s role in supporting Quranic education and training new religious role models who are capable of carrying the message of the Quran and teaching it in European societies.
